How Mimiko saved Ondo Speaker, Deputy from impeachment

Lawmakers in the Ondo State House of Assembly on Wednesday afternoon changed their mind on the impeachment notice served on the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele and His deputy, Hon. Fatai Olotu. Senate leader, Ali Ndume wants new cars for each senator,not made in Nigeria.

Senate Leader. Ali Ndume, was a guest on Channels TV this morning where he spoke on the controversial N4.7 billion reportedly meant for the purchase of new cars for each senator to carry out their oversight function. Ndume queried why Senators are expected to pack themselves in a coastal bus when carrying out their duties when Ministers and Local Government Chairmen have official cars. According to Ndume, Senators have not taken delivery of the cars as the budget has not been passed.

Fulani herdsmen explain why they attacked Idoma community; bcos of 10,000 cows.

The Fulani community in Benue State has explained the real cause of their endless hostilities with Agatu people in the state. The herdsmen claimed that the crisis started after 10,000 cattle belonging to their members were killed by Agatu natives.
