John Fashanu Late Brother was actually a Gay | READ Here

Ex-England footballer, John Fashanu has revealed his late brother was a gay and he prevented him, Justin Fashanu from coming out as gay. He said he paid him £75K to keep quiet about it.
The former Wimbledon striker made the shock admission a week after it emerged two top footballers – including an England star – plan to come out. In his first in-depth interview about brother Justin since his tragic suicide in 1998, he said:

    “I begged him, I threatened him, I did everything I could possibly do to try and stop him coming out. I gave him the money because I didn’t want the embarrassment for me or my family. Had he come out now, it would be a different ball game. There wouldn’t be an issue, but there was then. Things are different now. Now he’d be hailed a hero.”

Siasia Under Sack Tension from NFF

Senior officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), are considering firing the head coach of the U-23 team, Samson Siasia, over his outburst in the media this week.
The officials are furious with the former Super Eagles handler, for speaking to the press over the non-payment of salaries and bonuses. A decision could see Salisu Yussuf deployed as U-23 Eagles head coach with Fatai Amao and Ogunbote as assistants.

California Doctor convicted in overdose deaths of 3 patients

A Los Angeles-area doctor was convicted Friday of second-degree murder in the deaths of three patients who overdosed on painkillers she prescribed.
The prosecution of Dr. Hsiu-Ying "Lisa" Tseng was a rare murder case against a physician at a time when prescription drug abuse has become an epidemic and lawmakers have tried to make it harder for so-called pill mills to easily dole out medications with little scrutiny.

Gov. Ben Ayade suspends permanent secretary over suspension of morning devotion in schools

The Cross River State government has indefinitely suspended the Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Education Anne Odey, who last week released a statement suspending all forms of morning devotion in schools across the country.
The State Security Adviser (SSA) to Governor Ben Ayade, Jude Ngaji who made this known to newsmen yesterday in Calabar, explained that indeed the state police commissioner, Henry Fadairo, had contacted the state ministry of Education about a possible attack by Boko haram members during early morning and afternoon devotions in various schools.

15-year old boy Hacker arrested in Northern Ireland

UK internet service provider TalkTalk was recently hacked leaving millions of customers at risk. The firm’s websites have been hacked at least three times in the past year, allowing criminals to capture names, email addresses, account numbers and bank details. A boy of 15 has been arrested on suspicion of taking part in the cyber-attack on TalkTalk. The teenager was taken into custody after police raided his family home in Northern Ireland. A forensic team continued to comb the boy’s house for clues last night after obtaining a search warrant hours earlier.

The Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, on Monday forwarded the name of Mrs. Olasinmi Akindele-Odunmbaku, ‎to the State House of Assembly for ratification as a Commissioner.
Mrs. Akindele-Odunmbaku, wife to a Lagos based Chieftain of the All Progressives Congresss (APC), Mr. James Odunmbaku, is expected to be screened by members of the parliament today (Tuesday).

Meet The New Ooni of Ife: Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi

His appointment was announced in a press statement by the Government of Osun state moments ago. The Statement was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti.

Gov. Wike Media Aide survives assassination attempt

Mr Opunabo Nko-Tariah, who is the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Nyesom Wike, on thursday night escaped assassination attempt on his life.
The media aide told newsmen in Port Harcourt yesterday that unknown gunmen opened fire on his vehicle at Israel Ama bridge in Asari Toru local government area and said he was still in awe at how he survived the shooting.

    MTO just spoke with a family member of one of Nicki Minaj's closest friends. They told us exclusively that Nicki and Meek are set to get married in New York City this week.

    The details of the ceremony are extremely tight but we're told that all of Nicki's family are being holed up at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City on Tuesday night, and Meek's family is being flown in too. The couple is set to perform at the Tidal Concert   on Tuesday in New York City . . . and then get wed on Wednesday. This is fact!

Former Education Minister, Olaiya Oni is dead.

 Former Minister of Education and the pioneer Ondo State Labour Party Chairman, Dr. Olaiya Oni is dead. The elder statesman died at the age of 74 on Sunday 18, after being hospitalized at undisclosed private hospital in Akure, the Ondo state.

Nigerian Army Dismiss General for Duty Failure

The Nigerian Army has wielded the big stick on one of its own, Brigadier General Enitan Ransome-Kuti, for failure to perform military duties. A court martial on Thursday convicted, dismissed and jailed the officer over the loss of Baga in Borno State to Boko Haram insurgents early this year.

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has stated that it has put behind it the defeat in the last general elections. The former ruling party was ousted on March 28 during the presidential election. PDP, during its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Thursday, in Abuja, admitted that though the election was a big loss for the party, but it had put that behind and had thus commenced the process of rebuilding ahead of 2019 general elections.

Man sentenced to 885 years for child pornography

A Seminole County judge sentenced a man to 885 years in prison for possession of a massive amount of child pornography, Attorney General Pam Bondi's Office of Statewide Prosecution announced on Monday. Shawn Ryan Thomas, 31, was sentenced to 885 years in prison on 59 counts of possession of child pornography, 15 years for each count.

DSS parades Olu Falae's abductors

 

The Department of State Service (DSS) on Monday, paraded two suspected abductors of former secretary to the government of the federation, Chief Olu Falae, who was abducted at his farm in Ondo state on September 21st and released on September 24th after paying a ransom of N5 million.

7yr boy returns $8,000 he found on a playground to its owner | Photos

The Massachusetts boy found the money on a playground during a Saturday play date with his uncle.
 "I ran up the slide, and at the top I looked in the corner and there was this black check book, and I opened it up and I saw money in it, and I brought it back down to my uncle," he told WBZ.

Gov. Fayose calls for Support for Fayemi as Minister
