Mc Olumo's Aide, Mamok; killers Identified by Police

The police in Lagos State have claimed to have identified the perpetrators of last Wednesday murder of Olayinka Momowora (Mamok), an aide of MC Oluomo, the popular transport unionist in Oshodi area of the state..The state Police Public Relation Officer, Joe Offor, while speaking on the killing of Mamora, assured that the police would arrest the killers.
The late Mamora was on Wednesday night killed at a barbing saloon, very close to his house in Mosaku Street, Oshodi area of the state.
It was gathered that the renewed gang war in Oshodi might not be unconnected with the death of Esi Oluwo, who was allegedly killed by a rival group.
A source at Oshodi told Lagos Metro that “they have started again.
We thought that the end of the last general election had put a stop to the gang war.

The source, who pleaded anonymity, continued that “there was serious tension last night. There would have been a serious break down of law and order as some of the colleagues of Mamok , (as Mamora was fondly called) threatened to avenge his death.

The source continued that “the death might be a reprisal attack from some members of Esi Oluwo , who was killed during the last election. They have threatened to avenge his death.

Joe Offor confirmed the killing and added that “We have identified the killers but we have not arrested anybody in connection with the killing.
