A girls hostel at the University of Uyo caught fire this afternoon. It started from a room and spread to two other rooms. Thankfully the fire was contained by man-o-war and fire service before it spread to more rooms. And more thankful is that no life was lost. The cause of the sudden fire is yet to be known. The All Progressives congress has finally accepted the Bukola Saraki as the Senate President after muck controversy generated by his recent election. The party’s national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, on Friday said the party has now accepted Senator Bukola Saraki as the President of the Senate, saying having been elected by his colleagues, party was now ready to accept the reality and live with it. Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has once again alerted members of the public on activities of some fraudsters, using his name and photographs to operate fake facebook accounts, saying he does not have any facebook account... Special Assistant to the governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, in a statement issued on Friday, warned members of the public against falling victims of the fraudsters, operating the fake facebook accounts and using the accounts to demand money from unsuspecting people.
