A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has criticized the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido, over his statement that Nigeria lost one billion dollars monthly under former President Jonathan’s watch.
Mr. Fani-Kayode took to his Facebook page in reaction to an interview Sanusi granted to US media, PBS News Hour. See Fani-Kayode’s reaction after cut..
“In Nigeria, there is no accountability at all and that is why I think Nigeria’s corruption is worse than corruption in most parts of the world. It is the worst type of corruption. It’s stealing. Frankly I think a billion dollars under Jonathan a month was about what we were losing,” Sanusi Lamido said.
When I was told that this man said this to the American media I was left with the conclusion that he has completely lost touch with reality and possibly lost his mind. He should provide the evidence to prove his allegation that one billion dollars was stolen every month by Jonathan or he should just shut up and hold his peace.
If it is not President Buhari travelling to foreign lands to criminalize and defame the Nigerian people with his malicious words and absurd generalizations it is people like Emir Sanusi Lamido or one of the other so-called leading ”northern lights”. This rubbish has to stop.”
