President Buhari meets Niger President in Niami


President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in Niamey, the Niger capital where he is currently discussing issues bordering on African security, particularly with regard to West African sub-region with the country’s President, Mahamadou Issoufou. The President had on Monday, through his media aide announced the trip that was scheduled for 8am today.
The president who is on his first official visit to another country since assumption of office will also visit Chad on Thursday before returning to Nigeria. The three countries are to discuss on how Boko Haram insurgents can be exterminated from the sub-region.
Boko Haram has since Buhari’s assumption of office stepped up its campaign against Nigeria, particularly, North Eastern Borno State, where no fewer than hundred people have been reportedly killed within one week
