Ekiti Assembly suspend seven PDP lawmakers

The ongoing crisis rocking the Ekiti State House of Assembly took a dramatic dimension on Friday after 19 lawmakers on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, made a surprise re-entry into the state and suspended Dele Olugbemi, the leader of the seven Peoples Democratic Party lawmakers, alongside others.
The suspended lawmakers, who are members of the PDP, include: Samuel Ajibola, Israel Olowo, Alex Ade Ojo, Mrs. Adunni Olayinka and Ayoka Fatumbi.
It was gathered that the lawmakers made this resolution at a plenary held at a secret location in Ado-Ekiti and presided over by the embattled Speaker, Dr. Adewale Omirin.Reports say the APC lawmakers also invalidated all legislative actions carried out by the PDP caucus.
