For the lovers of NPL, the League Management Company (LMC), has announced that the new season of the Nigeria Professional Football League, will kick off on March 7, 2015.Nduka Irabor, the chairman of the LMC, says the late resumption date, is to ensure that outstanding issues are resolved.
Irabor also noted that the date was picked with the 2015 general elections in the country coming up in February. “The new season will start by March 7. There are many reasons to do that – we need to replenish the league body, the footballers needs to rest and also meet with their friends. “It to give us enough time to look into the some problems observed last season -which is one of the most embarrassing mean the welfare of the players themselves,” Irabor told Goal.
