Mimiko Raises Alarm over planned attack

 The Ondo State Government, Sunday, raised the alarm over alleged plans by “enemies of the state,” to embark on character assassination, outright falsehood and massive propaganda to undermine the government of the state.This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Information, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, in a statement issued in Akure, adding that government had uncovered the planned attack, scripted to begin with series of petitions to be written against Mimiko and the government of the state.
Akinmade said following several failed attempts by adversaries to indict the governor through petitions written against him to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a meeting was held in Abuja in the house of a prominent Ondo politician recently where a lawyer was assigned to write frivolous petitions against the governor using framed- up allegations, especially as it concerned the State’s Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC).
The planned attack is to rubbish the Governor so that PDP lose it's relevance in the South-west
