Atleast 10 persons were killed on Monday's female suicide bombers attacks on the Maiduguri Main Market in Borno State, and about 50 were injured.
The blasts went off at about 11:26 local time, and a source at the State Specialist Hospital said six corpses were subsequently deposited there.
Meanwhile, one Colonel DR Hassan has ordered the DPO of Baluburin police station to detain a journalist with TVC news who was at the scene of the twin blasts.
The attack on the market is the second in less than a week; last Tuesday’s attack left no fewer than 30 traders killed and several others injured.
The casualty rate today could have been higher but for the vigilance of a female vigilante from the Civilian-JTF who spotted the bombers before they could enter the market.
She died in the blast alongside the suicide bombers.
