2. The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed the application by the Indegenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to reverse the court’s order proscribing it and designating it as a terrorist group. The Acting Chief Justice, Abdu Kafarati, while delivering his ruling on the application held that September 20, 2017 proscription order was validly issued.

3. The Nigeria Police has confirmed the existence of armed militia groups in Benue State, claiming that the guards are equipped with sophisticated weapons. This was disclosed by the Force PRO, Jimoh Moshood. He said the police has enough evidence to support their claim.

4. Authorities in New Mexico say key Zimbabwean opposition leader Roy Bennett has been killed in a helicopter crash.
State Police Lt. Elizabeth Armijo confirmed Bennett's death Thursday, a day after a helicopter carrying him and five others went down in Raton (Rah-TOHNE), which is about 175 miles northeast of Albuquerque.
The helicopter went down about 6 p.m. Wednesday near the Colorado state line.

Report says the Kogi State Chairman of the Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN, Bishop John Ibenu and a former minister from the state, Chief Gabriel Aduku, reportedly escaped assassination attempts on them by men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen in Kogi State The Bishop narrowly escaped when gunmen attacked him and riddled his car with bullets.

6.Former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu has alerted to plans to take over his Hardley Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos.He said although the matter is in court, an agency is about to “forcibly seize” the property. A statement on Thursday by Kanu, the initiator of the Kanu Heart Foundation, lamented that the property, which is a growing concern in the hospitality industry, was put under the temporary possession of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) by an ex-parte order on account of a purported indebtedness which is yet to be proved. The statement claimed that there were plans to sell the hotel under a secret arrangement.”
