Good day! Here is today’s summary from Nigerian newspaper.1. Over 20 persons were yesterday injured in Idanre town, Idanre local government area of Ondo State when the supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clashed, throwing the community into a state of commotion. Report says the incident caused pandemonium in Isalu area of the ancient town, as people were seen running for their safety.
2. Report has claimed that the Federal Government has said that it may have to allow marketers of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, otherwise known as petrol to sell above the officer price of N145 per litre as it is no longer sustainable. Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu disclosed this in Abuja during a presentation to a joint committee on Petroleum (Downstream) of the Senate and the House of Representatives on Thursday.
3. The federal government has denied that it was planning to increase the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly called petrol to a minimum price of N180. This was contained in a statement issued by Idang Alibi Director of Press Ministry of Petroleum Resources. It said the Minister did not make any statement at the public hearing to have suggested such plans.

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha to review the recent appointment of dead people into the boards of Federal Government agencies. Buhari gave the directives following the controversies that trailed the discovery of some dead people on the list of those appointed.
5. A police intelligence officer attached to the wife of Taraba State governor, Barr. Mrs. Anna Darius Ishaku, died Thursday evening when his vehicle in the convoy of Governor Darius Ishaku had an accident along Bali Jalingo road.Two other occupants of the vehicle, a CIB police officer and a nurse were equally injured and in a critical condition.
6. Three persons have been reported dead following the latest attack on Anyiin, the country home of the ex-Governor Gabriel Suswam by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Benue State. It was gathered that the gunmen, apart from killing three people ransacked three roadside kiosks and made away with over one hundred mobile phones, destroyed assorted drinks and other valuables.

9. Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole deployed in Pulka Thursday rescued one of the Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram terrorists earlier in 2014. A statement from Col Onyema Nwachukwu, Deputy Director, Public Relations Theatre Command, Operation Lafiya Dole said, so far, preliminary investigations revealed that the young girl identified as Salomi Pagu is the same as the Chibok girl published on serial 86 of the online list of abducted Chibok girls.
