Morning Fellowship with God's Word

Sharing with you this Morning devotional "Open Heavens written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye. Today, Thursday 10 September, 2015.
Topic: God Can Be Neutral . Hebrews 12:29
"For our God is a consuming fire". Please read Romans 12: 19-21
It is given fact that someone will offend you at the point or another in life. What would you do when it happen, or what have you done in time past? When we hand over someone who has hurt or offended us to God, we hand them over to the One the bible refers to as the Righteous Judge. When God judges, He does so correctly. He does not only judge actions, He also judges the motive for the action. This is why Proverb 20:22 advises us that we should wait on God and let him handle the situation. When God decides to fight someone, the battle is over quickly and disaster is the result on the victim.

On the other hand, God can also be neutral: He can watch you as you fight your enemy on your own. If this happens, you can be sure that the battle will not last long and the result will be defeat to that person. When God is not fighting for you, you are on your own and defeat is bound to come. This was the case with Israel and the city of Ai om Joshua 6: 20- 27. The proud will usually lose in the battles of life, because God does not have anything to do with them- God resists the proud. Make sure you trust God and hand your battles over to Him to fight.

Prayer Point: Father, Please do not be neutral in any aspect of my life
