Morning Fellowship with God's Word

Sharing with you this Morning devotional "Open Heavens written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye. Today , Thursday 3 September, 2015.
Topic: Foolish Act 2Chronicles 16:9
"For the eyes of the lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly; therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars." Please read 2 Chronicles 16:7-9
There was a king in the land of Judah called Asa who ruled for forty one years. this king had a good record and was highly praised for the many wonderful things he achieved for God during his period as king . The king had a desire to do the things of God. He knew the laws of a God and hated evil or whatever represented evil. He took away anything that would not please God , such as evil altars and evil images. Because of his commitment to the things of God, God showed himself strong on his behalf. God made sure that he fought the enemies of the land of Judah and even sent several prophets to encourage the king , give him direction and also warn him of any danger that may be approaching .
However in the thirty six year of king Asa's reign over Judah another king threatened war against him and king Asa became afraid forgetting all that the lord had done for him and the land in the past he became so afraid that he entered into an agreement with Syria giving them as a reward the treasures in God's house. God told king Asa that he had acted foolishly. Never look at your circumstance but always look unto God for help, support, survival and provision. If you do so , you will never be disappointed.

Prayer Point: Father, Please let me never fall into a situation where I will agree with the enemy in Jesus'name
