Topic: Do You Encourage? 2Timothy 1:4
"Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy." Please read Acts 4:36-37
It is very important that every leader must be watchful in periods when everything goes well, goals are reached, plans are achieved, souls are saved and saints are blessed. At these times, a wise leader must give all the glory to the Almighty God who alone deserves it all.
There will also be moments when discouragement will set in when things do not seem to be going well, goals are frustrated,plans are not achieved and so on. At these times, a leader needs to be encouraged and must be extremely careful not to misbehave in anyway. A summary of what should happen was given by someone as follows: If successful , do not crow; if defeated, do not croak.
Everyone needs encouragement, everyone needs prayers and everyone needs assistance. There are several ways to encourage your leaders. One is by being obedient so as to make their work easier and enjoyable. Another way is through voluntary service to the church or ministry.
Leaders: It must not be one-sided; As leaders you do all you can to encourage their members and not deny them their rights.
Prayer point: Father, help me to be an encourager.
